WHAT IS A VIRTUAL AIRLINE?
The term Virtual Airline (VA) has expanded over the years to cover a wide variety of flight simulator experience, from small charter services, to major passenger lines and military services.
The Virtual Airlines that you might see probably resemble the name of a real world airline, but in no way are they really connected with the real world airline.
There are also Virtual Military units that mirror almost every aspect of the military aviation experience.
There are private charter services, air ambulance services, and flying clubs of all sorts.
If you are interested in a particular kind of flying, chances are there is a VA out there for you full of pilots seeking the same experiences you are.
A virtual career is pretty much self explanatory. When you are hired by a VA (Virtual Airline) you are often required to fly a minimal amount of hours each week or even each month. Virtual airlines do not pay real currency to their pilots, it is just a hobby.
